Nagrota Young Star Eagles outplays Sidhra Scorpions by 3 runs

BAJALTA, Apr 6: Nagrota Young Star Eagles today defeated Sidhra Scorpions in the Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament, an initiative of MLA Devender Singh Rana.
Put into bat by Sidhra Scorpions, Nagrota Young Star Eagles managed to score 133 runs in the stipulated 14 overs after losing 7 wickets. Rajeshwar made 42 runs, while Rahul and Naresh contributed 32 and 24 runs respectively. For Sidhra Scorpions, Bakhtwar and Irshad took one wicket each.
Sidhra Scorpions failed to chase the target and managed to score 130 runs in 14 overs after losing 9 wickets, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 3 runs. Kamal, Naresh and Satyam took 2 wickets each for Nagrota Young Star Eagles. Naresh was declared as man of the match for his all-round performance of 24 runs and 2 wickets.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Madan Mohan from the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
The matches were played under the overall supervision of Faheem Tak, vice president Take-1 Channel and Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, Member Organizing Committee.
Sarpanch Nagrota Rameshwar Dutt, Sarpanch Bajalta Ch Rehmat Ali, Sarpanch Surinsar Subash Singh, Sarpanch Nadore Joginder Lal, Madan Sharma, Dharamveer Singh Jamwal former Deputy Mayor, Ashok Singh and Subash were among others to witness matches.
