JAMMU, June 12: “Inaugura-tion of Income Tax (IT) Officers’ Residential Complex here signifies that small towns are more aggressive than big metro cities”.
This was stated by Rani Singh Nair, Zonal Member, Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), New Delhi after inaugurating the Income Tax (IT) Officers’ Residential Complex at Reshamghar here this afternoon.
Pradeep R Sethi, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, North West Region, Chandigarh and Commissioner of Income Tax, Amritsar, Rajendra Kumar, Director General of Income Tax (Investigations), North West Region, Chandigarh, AK Thatai, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K and Mohammad Rafiq, General Manager, NBCC, Rakesh Gupta, President, Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI), IGP Jammu Danish Rana, SSP Operations Uday Bhaskar Billa, members of Associated Chamber of Traders Federation, officials of NIRC, Jammu Chapter, members of Income Tax Bar Association and large number of Chartered Accounts, etc.
Nair further stated that this complex will provide comfortable and homely atmosphere for senior officers who are posted from other States of India in J&K, Jammu.
While speaking, AK Thatai, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K, Jammu, stated that Income Tax (IT) Officers’ Residential Complex consists of five multi storey Type V flats, two bungalows Type VI, one club house and guest house to accommodate all the senior officers. He also briefly mentioned the process and time line of this project.
