JAIPUR, Sep 25: An accused in the infamous Ajmer Dargah blast case has raked up a controversy by stating that he had named RSS leaders in this case under pressure from Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde.
In a letter sent to National Investigation Agency(NIA) the accused Bhavesh Patel has stated that Mr Shinde had pressurized him to name RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and its functionary Indresh Kumar in the blast.
The NIA sources, however, here today refuted Patel’s version holding that since Indresh Kumar’s name does not figure in the charge sheet as an accused therefore, no case of exerting any pressure.
The blast that occurred in the Ajmer Dargah Sharif premises on October 11, 2007 during the holy month of Ramadaan, had left three dead and injured 11.
Yesterday, an NIA Special Court had frammed charges against Bhavesh, a Hindu outfit functionary Swami Aseemanand and five others. (UNI)
