JAMMU, May 26: The Jayanti of Nand Kishore Maharaj was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety by the devotees at Ajit Colony Gole Gujral today.
On the occasion a grand religious function was organized in which the scholars threw light on the significance of the day. A Maha Yagya was also solemnized on the occasion and bajan Kirtan was held for complete day.
The hawan started yesterday evening which culminated with puranahuti this afternoon. It was followed by serving of prashad to devotees.
The function was held under the leadership of B L Koul president. B N Jyotshi, Vinod Baht, Krishan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, B L Bhat, M L Pandita and Bushan Lal Malmohi spoke on the significance of the day.
