REASI, July 21: MLA Reasi Ajay Nanda honoured the winners and runners-up teams of Reasi District JKCA Premier Championship, organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at Sports Stadium, here.
Mr Nanda was the chief guest on the occasion, while Sham Saroop Kalsotra, Member, Committee of Members JKCA and Advocate Pawan Dev Singh were the guests of honour.
Bharat Bhushan and Nadeem Bhat, the members of Organising Committee of the Championship were also present on the occasion.
National Cricket Club Reasi emerged champions by defeating Reasi Cricket Club Reasi convincingly in the summit clash.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Nanda lauded the efforts of the organisers for holding such a mega event gracefully.
He said games and sports serve for delight, for ornament and for agility.
On the occasion, the organisers gave full detail of the tournament and said that the event was as part of the District Level JKCA Premier Championships, organised in all the districts of Jammu province under the overall supervision of retired Judge Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal and Sham Saroop Klasotra.
They said over 40,000 cricketers drawn from across 22 districts of the State participated in this historic event.
