Narcotic smuggler arrested

JAMMU, Apr 30: Police arrested a narcotic smuggler along with charas from Narwal Mandi area.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a police team laid a naka near Narwal Mandi and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police recovered 645 grams charas from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Zakir Hussain, son of Muzaffar Hussian, a resident of Anantnag, Kashmir.
A case under FIR Number 77/16 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Trikuta Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Trikuta Nagar Inspector Kuldeep Khajuria and assisted by Incharge Narwal police post SI Mahmood Khan made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Chandan Kohli and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
