KATRA, May 28: Wrestler Naresh Kumar (Pappu) of Sonipat (Haryana) and Wrestler Benia Min of J&K Police shared “32nd Annual Gran Mord (Reasi) Dangal Title at Gran Mord, here today.
Both the wrestlers were jointly awarded with a cash prize of Rs 61,000 by Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Ravinder Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi Tahir Bhat, President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Sarpanch Raj Kumar Sharma (Chairman of Gran Mord Dangal Committee).
Dangal was organized by Gran Mord (Reasi) Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of Shiv Kumar Sharma and Raj Kumar Sharma.
Executive Director NHPC Salal, AG Ansari contributed Rs. 10,000 as financial assistance to the organizers.
Deputy Commissioner Reasi was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed cash prizes among the wrestlers,while Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India Mr Sharma presided over the function. Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi Tahir Bhat was the guest of honour.
The second main bout was won by Ishaq Ahmed (Lallu) of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu who defeated Rinka of Chandigarh. 3rd bout was played between Nisar of Doda and Talab of Mallerkotla. This bout ended in a draw. 4th bout was won by Teg Ali of Mallerkotla (Punjab) who defeated Ajay Sharma of Udhampur and the 5th bout was won by Tinku of Rohtak who defeated Paula of Himachal Pradesh.
