REASI, June 23: Wrestler Naresh of Jammu today lifted 75th Edition of Annual Wrestling title-2012 by beating Parladh Singh of Kalakote in a tough bout at Bhambla, here today.
The Vishal Dangal was organized by Bhambla Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style wrestling Association.
Winner was awarded a cash prize of Rs 3100 while runners-up wrestler got Rs 2000 as cash prize by the chief guest Ravinder Sharma, M L C Nowshera. The members of local Dangal Committee Inderpal Singh, S H O Police Station Pouni and Rattan Lal Sharma were the guests of honour. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma joint secretary J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association was present on the occasion, who supervised all the proceedings of the day.
Meanwhile, the second main bout was won by wrestler Ballu of Gurdaspur, Punjab who defeated wrestler Baaz Singh of Jammu. The winner was given Rs 2000 while the runners-up received Rs 1500.
The third main bout for the cash prize of rupees 3000 was shared in between wrestler Prem Verma of Jhiri and wrestler Parveen of Sirsa Haryana. 60 wrestlers from different districts and outside the State took part in the event.
Members of Dangal Committee who helped in the smooth and successful conduct of the event included Kewal Puri, Rashpal Sharma, Des Raj, Deep Singh, Tara Chand, Rakesh Kumar, Anil Kumar, Yash Pal and Sanjeev Kumar Sharma.
Meanwhile, Punjab wrestler Yasheen clinched the title trophy in the 52nd Annual Sirla Bhaga Kesari Vishal Dangal 2012, organized by Sirla Bhaga Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association at Government High School Sirla Bhaga in Reasi, today. Yasheen defeated Soffian of Panipat to win a cash prize of Rs 6000, while Soffian got a cash prize of Rs 4000.
