JAMMU, Oct 4: The passerby had a narrow escape, when an electric transformer installed on the road side near a school in Janipur area blasted this afternoon.
As per residents, a transformer installed on the road side and outside a building at Janipur area near Dream Land School blasted this afternoon and the passerby had a narrow escape. The blast created panic in the area.
The residents stated that two transformers are installed outside a building and that too on the road side. One of them blasted today. As today was Sunday, the road was having less foot-fall due to which a major tragedy has been averted”, the passerby said.
They held PDD and JMC responsible for their negligent approach towards installation of the transformers.
“Remove the transformers from the road side and installed them at some suitable location far away from the reach of the people and passerby, so that no untoward incident could take place in future”, they demanded.
