JAMMU, June 24: Nasir Lone, the under 25 men’s team player of Jammu and Cricket Association (JKCA) has been selected by the National Selection Committee to join an All Rounder Camp being organized by the BCCI at National Cricket Academy, Bangalore.
“In a communication received from VVS Laxman, Head Cricket NCA, the Association has been informed that Nasir Lone has been selected to join the camp for All Rounders to train under the tutelage of the NCA Coaches at Bangalore. The camp will be held from 20 August to 6 September at NCA Bangalore,” stated Brig Anil Gupta, Member Administration JKCA.
“Nasir Lone is a promising fast bowling all rounder and is a right hand medium pacer as well as right handed batsman. During the last season, he had represented JKCA in U-25 Men’s team in U-25 Men’s State A One Day Tournament and Col. CK. Nayudu Multi days Tournament organized by the BCCI. It was his outstanding all round performance during these matches that caught the attention of the selectors,” said, Mithun Manhas, Member Cricket Operations and Development JKCA.
The selection of Nasir Lone is another shot in the arm of JKCA whose players have started knocking the doors of National Cricket. The All Rounder Camp is being organized by the BCCI to train potential All Rounders for the National Team. Brig. Gupta also informed that Abid Mushtaq, another talented Spinner All Rounder from J&K will be leaving Jammu on 25 June to join the North Zone Duleep Trophy Team at Bangalore. North Zone will be playing its first match against North East Zone at Bangalore starting on 28 June, 2023.
