*J&K clinches 1 gold, 5 silvers, 3 bronze

JAMMU, Mar 26: National Aerobic Gymnastics Championship 2023-24 concluded at New Gymnastics Academy M.A Stadium, here today.
Dr Ashutosh Gupta Principal Govt. Medical College Jammu was the Chief Guest while Dilawar Singh, Chief Accounts Officer, Sheikh Reyaz Ahmed Administrative Officer, Rajeev Sharma Member J&K Sports Council, Shally Mahajan, & Shilpa Gupta Trustee SP Smart Schools were the Guests of Honour.
Dr Ashutosh Gupta lauded the efforts of the J&K Sports Council and Gymnastics Association of J&K for organizing such a mega sports event successfully wherein more than 450 budding gymnasts alongwith their Managers, Coaches participated in the first ever National in all age-Group of Aerobic Gymnastics and asked the youngsters to channelize their energy for sports and games and bring the laurels for state and country. The chief guest shared his student life particularly his sports career during the college days. He further said that Gymnastics is the mother all games which can make way for other sports also if required at any given point of time.
This mega event was organized in collaboration with J&K Sports Council under the patronage of Lieutenant Governor J&K UT, Manoj Sinha with full support of Secretary J&K Sports Council Nuzhat Gull resulted by record winning of J&K UT team one Gold, five Silvers & three Bronze Medals in the Championships.
The team of experienced members of Gymnastics Association of J&K headed by Er Kiran Wattal, President and Vice-President Gymnastics Federation of India alongwith his dedicated team of Rajan Sharma Vice- President, Tajinder Singh Organizing Secretary, Anil Khajuria Treasurer, Anil Kumar & Sahil Sharma. During the occasion the Chief Guest and Guest of honour distributed the medals to the meritorious gymnasts.
In the individual men final (senior) Meet Kosambia of Gujar won gold, Arya Pavan Shah of Maharashtra won Silver and Nilay Biswas of West Bengal won Bronze Medal. In the individual women final (Senior) Ariha Pangambam of Manipur won Gold. Mixed Pair Final (Senior) Nishant Chauhan, Prakruti Shinde of Gujarat won Gold Medal while Yadavi Mahajan, Gourav Chettri of Jammu & Kashmir won Silver Medal.
In Trio Final (Senior) Parul Mehra, Laksh Mahajan and Manav Gupta of Jammu & Kashmir won Bronze Medal. Aero Dance Final (Senior) Jammu and Kashmir won silver medal while in the Group Final (Senior) Jammu and Kashmir clinched silver medal.
