JAMMU, Apr 30: To explore the hidden talent of the students pursuing B.Ed Course, National College of Education organized an inter-college solo song and flower arrangement competition in its Campus, here.
The programme was divided into two phases, with students participating in solo song competition in the first phase and in flower arrangement in the second phase.
Dr Shubra Sharma, Deputy Excise Commissioner was the chief guest on the occasion, while Prof Archana Gupta (Zoology) and Dr Kuldeep Raina (Music), Government College for Women, Parade were the adjudicators.
The participating Colleges included Govt College for Women Parade, MC Khalsa College of Education, Calliope College of Education, KCS College of Education, SVS College of Education Sunderbani, SVS Degree College Sunderbani and the hosts National College of Education.
In the solo song, Jeevan Jyoti from GCW Parade won first prize, while Mamta from Calliope College bagged second and Neha from National College claimed third. Aruna from MC Khalsa College of Education received consolation prize.
In flower arrangement competition, National College of Education won first spot, the second place went to GCW Parade and the third position was bagged by KCS College. SVS Sunderbani Degree College claimed consolation prize.
Earlier, Principal NCE, Neena Sharma presented welcome address and said that such events are must for confidence building of the students.
Prominent among other present on the occasion were Prof KG Gupta, Principal IECS, Prof KR Sharma, Principal North Polytechnic, Er Ajay Singh Jamwal, Dean Administration IECS.
Senior Lecturer Indu Raina presented vote of thanks.
