National Cricket Club crush Stadium XI by 11 runs in inaugural tie

JAMMU, May 26: National Cricket Club crushed Stadium XI Kathua by 11 runs in the inaugural tie of the T-20 Open and Veteran Cricket Tournaments, being organised by Parade Sports Association, at Parade ground, here today.
Batting first, National Cricket Club scored 138 for the loss of 8 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Amit Billoria scored 27 runs, while Jatin, Inderjeet Singh and Gokul Baru contributed 24, 23 and 20 runs respectively.
Shiv Dutt and Himanshu of Stadium XI bowled well and took 2 wickets each, while Radhey Sham, Sheetal and Arvind claimed one wicket apiece.
In the second inning, Stadium XI failed to chase the target and bundled out at 127 for the loss of 8 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Atul was the top scorer with 22 runs, while Nichant and Radhey Sham made 21 runs each.
Deepak Manhas of National Cricket Club scalped 2 wickets, whereas Inderjeet, Mayank and Vijay Dogra pocketed one wicket each.
Amit Billoria of National Cricket Club was declares man of the match.
The match was officiated by Sudhir Singh and Harvinder Singh as umpires, Ajay Sharma was the scorer and Dr Karan Nayyar was official Physiotherapist.
Earlier, the tournaments were declared open by Ashok Khajuria, MLA and Priya Sethi, president, BJP Mahila Morcha in presence of other senior leaders of BJP including Chander Mohan Sharma and Yuddhvir Sethi were also present.
A total of 16 teams are participating in the Open Tournament and 8 teams are participating in Veteran Tournament.
