National Integration Cricket tourney commences at GDC Chatroo

DODA, Dec 3: Government Degree College Chatroo in collaboration with Government Degree College, Kishtwar held the National Integration Cricket tournament here today.
The event witnessed the convergence of cricket enthusiasts, players and dignitaries from both the colleges emphasizing the tournament’s theme of fostering national integration and promoting fitness and healthy living habits among youths under fit India campaign.
Prof. Mussarat Matoo, Head of Department Education followed by Dr Jaswant Singh, Physical Education Director of the college highlighting the significance of sports as a catalyst for developing fitness level, unity and mutual understanding among youths.
Dr Ved Kumar Principal GDC Chatroo was chief guest on this occasion along with other dignitaries such as Dr Jamsheed Ahmed (HoD) English from GDC Doda, Major Bhuvan Thappa, Sandeep Parihar SHO Chatroo, JCO Jagmaal Singh from 11 RR besides that a huge gathering of prominent citizens were also present on the occasion. The inaugural match was played between GDC Chatroo and GDC Kishtwar which was won by GDC Kishtwar.
