National Level FDP on ‘Entrepreneurship Development’ inaugurated at SMVDU

JAMMU, Dec 12: National Level Faculty Development Programme on “Entrepreneu-rship Development” was inaugurated at SMVDU.
The programme is being organized by Entrepreneurship Development Cell, SMVDU with the financial support from DST-NIMAT Project Government of India.
During his inaugural address, Satish Kaul, Resident Director, Emcure Pharmaceutical Limited and chief guest of the ceremony highlighted the effectiveness of such kind of development programme for the faculty members.
With the help of real life examples and short stories, he explained the attributes of entrepreneurs and mentioned that commitment and dedication are the key virtues for enjoying success with flying colours on the path of entrepreneurial endeavors.
Earlier during the function, Chief Coordinator, Entrepreneu-rship Development Cell, SMVDU & Associate Professor, School of Business, Dr. Supran Kumar Sharma extended warm welcome to the participating faculty members of the programme.
While introducing the aims and objectives of the programme to the participants, Dr Sharma underlined that this programme aspires to provide essential tools and techniques related with entrepreneurship development to the faculty members so that they can effectively apply this know-how in their classroom teaching, research and self-generated new knowledge.
Dr Ashutosh Vashistha, Associate Prof, School of Business provided a brief overview of activities of School of Business and wished happy journey to the participants.
Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU conveyed his best wishes for the programme.
This two week long programme will comprise of various interactive sessions comprised of case study discussions, panel discussions, business plan preparation, brain-storming, library research, role plays, etc. which will be taken by esteem resource persons from academia, corporate and industrial training institutes including MSME DI, Jammu, JKEDI, NITIE Mumbai, University of Jammu, IIT Roorkee, IIT Delhi, etc. apart from in-house resource persons. One day field visit would also be the part of this ambitious event. The participants of the programme belong to different universities/institutions including Guru Jambeshwar University, Hisar, Manav Rachna International University, Faridabad, Central University of Jammu, University of Jammu, NIFTEM, Kundli, BGSB University, Rajouri, SMVDU, College of Commerce, Patna, etc.
