National level training programme for IFS officers held at SMVDU

KATRA, Nov 25: Five -day long training program on ‘Creating Sustainable and Motivated Organization’ for Indian Forest Services (IFS) officers, concluded here today at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University,  Katra
Considering the role of motivation as additive fuel that increases the efficiency of the organization  to attain its peak and help in the optimum utilization of resources, this training program was aimed to implant the major ingredients among the employees who act as conduit with the organization  on the way of creating the motivated organization. The programme was organized by School of Business, Faculty of Management with the financial support from Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India.
25  IFS officers  from different parts of the India participated in this event. A brain storming panel discussion session on ‘Improvement in the Working of Forests Department Need for Career Development through Training and Improvement of Skills’ was conducted on the concluding day.
During the valedictory ceremony, Prof  Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU,  acknowledged the hard and sincere efforts put by School of Business in organizing of such kind of training programs.
Dr  M K  Kumar, Additional CEO, SMVDSB,  also spoke on the occasion. Dr Supran Kumar Sharma, organizing secretary of the event, presented vote of thanks.
During this five days event, a field visit to the central office SMVD Shrine Board, Katra,  was also made wherein  Ajit Sahu, CEO, SMVD Shrine Board,  apprised the officers regarding  various aspects, functioning and efforts being made by the board and participants appreciated the efforts the board.
The training programme comprised of various interactive sessions on the basis of case study, role plays, group discussions braining storming etc, which  were taken by  resource persons,  including Major General (Retd.) N K Dhir, Prof  W C .Singh, Dr  Ashok Bhan and others.
