SRINAGAR, July 23: The 2 days National Pencak Silat Coaches and Referees Seminar 2017 was inaugurated today here at Sher Kashmir Indoor Stadium.
22 states across the country took part in the said programme.
The State included Manipur, Assam, Goa, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Kerala, West bengal, Karnataka, Uttrakhand, Andra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and host Jammu and Kashmir.
The national seminar is being organized by Indian Pencak Silat Federation in collaboration with Pencak Silat Association of Jammu and Kashmir under the banner of J&K State Sports Council.
Sheikh Khalid Jehangir, Vice chairman J&K PCC and Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra, Secretary J&K State Sports Council were the chief guests.
Parra in his speech assured full support to the Association for upliftment of the game.
