KATHUA, Jan 31: Nav Jagriti Niketan Higher Secondary School here today celebrated Annual Day.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Chief Executive Officer, IWMP was the chief guest on this occasion and he unfurled the National Flag in the presence of School Director, Madan Mohan Sharma.
Chief Education Officer, Kathua, Kishore Kumar; Ajay Gupta, president Private Schools Association, Jammu Province; Sat Paul Mansotra, general secretary, Private School Association, Jammu Province; Sardar Khan, former SSP; Sardar Karanjeet Singh, Naresh Kumar, Director of Learning Temple High School Kathua and Kailash Kumari, chairperson J&K Women’s Credit Cooperative were guests of honor.
At the outset, Principal of the School gave a brief account of the progress achieved by the institute in academics and extra-curricular activities.
She appraised that besides getting positions in the 10th & 12th standards, the students of this School have also brought laurels at State and National level in sports and other competitive events.
She particularly mentioned the name of Neha Kumari- a student of the School who addressed Parliament on National Youth Day.
The School Management honoured the chief guest and distinguished guests-Headmaster Subash Sharma, Director Rigveda School, Ravi Dutt Sharma and local PRIs. Parents of the students who had excelled were also honored.
Earlier the students of the School presented a scintillating cultural programme which was applauded by the gathering.
The function concluded with recitation of National Anthem.
