JAMMU, Mar 28: A teacher of Navodaya Vidyalaya, Akhnoor was found hanging this morning in the hostel room of the Vidayalaya.
“The deceased was identified as Vikram Singh Khadia (32) son of Mahavir Singh Khadia, resident of Rajasthan. He was working as a contractual PG teacher in the Vidayalaya,” the official said, adding his body was found this morning hanging from the hook of the ceiling fan in the hostel room of the Vidayalaya, where he was presently living.
He said the body was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu and his family members in Rajasthan were informed. He said as soon as family members of the deceased reached Jammu, the body will be handed over to them after getting conducted postmortem.
“In this connection, inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC have been initiated at police station Akhnoor as no suicide note was recovered from the spot,” the official added.
