NC, Cong, JKAP pay tributes to martyr

JAMMU, Aug 19: National Conference provincial president Devender Singh Rana today  saluted the valour of a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the Army’s Rashtriya Rifles and attaining martyrdom while fighting terrorists in an encounter in Pir Panjal area of Rajouri district.
Paying tribute to the martyr, the Rana in a message, conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul. He also wished speedy recovery to the injured soldier in the gunfight.
Expressing shock over the martyrdom of a JCO and injuries to two others in Thannamandi area of Rajouri, Congress has commended the security forces for eliminating a militant also while expressing great concern over the rising infiltration and deteriorating security situation in the border belt .
JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma (Ex- MLC), has lauded the army, security forces and police for bravely and selflessly facing the challenge of rising infiltration and stepped up terrorist activities in the border belt of Rajouri . He expressed anguish over the martyrdom of a JCO and injuries to the jawans who are fighting terrorists least bothering for their lives.
Meanwhile, Apni Party, Provincial president, Jammu, Manjit Singh has paid rich tributes and expressed grief over the martyrdom of Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in an encounter in Rajouri.
In his message, Manjit Singh said that the supreme sacrifice made by the Army Officer will be remembered for generations.
He said “The attempt is being made to start militancy again in border districts. However, our brave defence forces will not allow the anti-national elements to disrupt peace in Jammu and Kashmir.”
