UDHAMPUR, Apr 9: Lashing out at NC and Congress party, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF) State president and candidate for Doda-Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency Anil Gupta said, both parties are luring the people by their false promises and said such tactics are being adopted by these parties during the election to befool the masses.
While holding series of meeting in Malhar, Sangur, Maand and Ward No 7 in Udhampur district, Anil Gupta pointed out, the Udhampur -Katra rail link, fate of Katra-Qazigund link and no train has been provided between Jammu- Chandigarh although it was important on many accounts.
NC and Congress in their election manifestoes as also otherwise the ruling leaders had been resorting to not only lofty promises but also had gone to the extent of announcements which were not possible for any dispensation.
Anil Gupta said that the root cause for growing unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir was the separatist outlook and communal mindset. The special status under Article 370 of the Indian Constitution has come to be big hurdle in the Industrial growth without which the unemployment is bound to mount.
The permanent rehabilitation of PoK migrants as also that of Kashmir and other parts of the State is not being taken up with any effective planning resulting in uncertainty and loss of the Central funding.
Migrants of Kashmir are being lured on the pretext of “Kashmir is incomplete without Kashmiri Pandits and other minorities,” but hardly any sincere move is there about the return and rehabilitation of the migrants with dignity.
He appealed to people to defeat these opportunist parties by their ballot and ensure the victory of JKDF for fair representation of the region and to start a new era of development with new vision.
