JAMMU, Apr 9: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha seat Arshad Malik today flayed the National Conference and Congress leadership for betraying people of J&K for the lust of power.
Addressing public meetings in Batote and Banihal, Arshad Malik exhorted the people to teach a lesson to those who are responsible for their woes. He said that forthcoming Lok Sabha is an opportunity to teach a lesson to those who had made false promises during the last assembly elections.
Coming down heavily on ruling coalition for not solving problems of the masses, Malik regretted that instead of fulfilling wishes and aspirations of the people of J&K, leaders of the coalition were trying to play with the sentiments of the people.
“It is all due to the non-serious approach of the Coalition Government that people of J&K have to face hardship”, he said and cautioned the people against game plan of the ruling coalition.
Malik shifted all blames on coalition regime for the backwardness of the State especially in Chenab Valley region. He said that developmental works which were started during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for this region have been stalled without any reason.
Seeking support of the people, Malik assured that PDP would vociferously highlight woes of the people in the Parliament.
Reiterating resolve of PDP to addressing aspirations and wishes of all regions and sub-regions of the State, Malik said that it is due to convictions and commitments of party leadership that the PDP has emerged as a credible and strong political force in all the regions of the State.
