BUDHAL, Aug 17: While addressing a large gathering of people in a rally, National Conference leader, Ch Liaqat Ali said that the Omar Abdullah led Government is committed to develop tehsil Budhal and adjoining areas.
He said that BJP is trying its level best to uplift PDP in the State with a sole aim to throw NC out of power and rule the roost, adding that such malafied intensions will hardly help them to win the hearts of the people.
Assuring the people that their problems will be redressed at an earliest, Mr Liaqat said he will leave no stone unturned in fulfilling the aspirations of the people of Budhal.
The rally was to be addressed by Senior NC leader Ali Mohd Sagar, who could not reach the venue because of inclement weather conditions, paving way for Mr Liaqat to address the gathering.
Prominent among other leaders present on the occasion were Ch Mohd Shafi, Ghulam Mohi-din, Malik Parvair, Malik Asharaf, Shamin Ahmed, Talib Malik, Choudhary Manzoor Sarpanch, Ch Baag Hussain, Rafiq Mir, Shafi Malik, Sabir Malik, Ch Rafiq and Ch Iqbal.
