JAMMU, Dec 23: NC Minority Cell working president M K Yogi nominated Soom Nath Dhar as convener of Grievances Redressal Cell of the organization in its meeting here today.
The meeting was chaired by Mr Yogi and it was attended by the representatives of the organization from camps and non camp areas.
Mr Yogi criticised the statement of PDP patron, Mufti Mohammed Sayeed that only he has the vision to solve the problems of Kashmiri migrants and said that Omar Abdullah held Government has taken many steps in solving the problems of the displaced people from Valley.
The meeting said every one knows the role of the PDP leaders in 1986 riots and the period when Mr Sayeed was Union Home Minister.
Later a delegation of the Cell led by Mr Yogi called on Chief Electoral Officer and discussed the progress of migrants’ voter lists and demanded that the names of all displaced voters be included in the voter lists.
The delegation also met Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Migrants and urged him to ensure immediate supply of ration and sugar to migrant relief holders.
The meeting also appealed the Chief Minister to solve the other burning demands of the migrants. P L Talashi, Karan Choudhary, Aswani Bhat, B K Bhat, Pinky Bhat, S N Dhar, Ramesh Bharti, Bittoo Ji Bhat, Jigan Goja, M L Labroo, B L Pandita were among others who attended the meeting.
