NC Minority Cell delegation meets RC

JAMMU, Feb 19: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) Minority Cell today sought proper upkeep of transit accommodation at various places across Jammu and advance release of rations including sugar to the relief holders in view of the ensuing Maha Shivratri festival.
A delegation of the Minority Cell, led by its president, M. K Yogi called on the Relief Commissioner here and listed various issues facing the migrants in camping colonies and outside the camps.
The delegation stressed the need for making all necessary arrangements for regulated availability of essentials like fish, walnut, vegetable and other commodities at reasonable rates at the specially installed stalls in the camps as per the past practice.
The delegation also brought to the notice of the Relief Commissioner the status of various tenement colonies, urging that necessary repairs and renovations besides maintenance of health and hygiene. It sought regulated power and drinking water supply, especially on the festival.
Among others, convener of the Cell Bushan Lal Bhat, Jatin Bhat, Amit Koul , Bal Krishan Bhat, Ashwini Bhat and Roshan Lal Bhat were part of the delegation.
