JAMMU, Nov 10: Provincial president women wing National Conference Vijay Laxmi Dutta enumerated the measures taken by Omar led Government during the past six years for empowerment of women and enhancing their role in decision making.
Addressing women workers at various places in Dhansal, Jagti and Nagrota Panchayats, Dutta said as sustained efforts of National Conference during the past few decades women empowerment have got a new impetus as a result of which the female literacy has increased and the role of women in various spheres of governance has become pronounced.
Dutta said NC alone will give a strong and stable Government to the State at the strength of the people’s support.
She said the report card of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during the past nearly past six years is real strength for the party to go to the people for seeking a decisive mandate to fulfill their aspirations in future as well.
Among others present were Darshan Kumar, Rajni Devi Panch, Shiban Khajuria, Mohammed Ayub, Mohammed Yousf, Sabira Begum, Ashaq Hussain, Hamida Bibi, etc.
