JAMMU, Apr 17: Navreh Cricket Club (NCC) and APCC Muthi emerged winners of the ongoing Navreh Premier Cricket League, played at Country Cricket Stadium, Gharota, here today.
In the first match NCC defeated the Crease Hunters Cricket Club (CHCC) by 5 wickets. Batting first, CHCC scored 158 runs in which JP Singh made highest 75 runs, while Rajpal Singh made 27 runs and Johnny contributed 20 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, NCC chased the target easily in 18 overs in which Puneet Wattal scored 69 runs, while Jitinder Bhat and Anil Raina contributed 31 and 23 respectively. Akhil of Crease Hunters took 2 wickets, while Jatinder Bhat of Navreh got 3 wickets and Vikas Pandita claimed 2 wickets.
In another match, APCC Muthi defeated Jwala Mata Cricket Club (JMCC) by 54 runs, wherein APCC made 207 with the help of Deepak’s 59 runs, while Rocky Raina scored 44 runs and Deepak Koul and Vinod Bhat contributed 37 and 25 runs respectively.
In reply, JMCC bundled out at 152 runs. Rohit made 42 runs, while Vinu Bhat scored 34 and Abdul Majid also contributed 19 runs. From APCC, Ricky Raina and Chander took 2 wickets each.
