NCC distributes hampers among cancer patients at SMGS

JAMMU, Mar 28: As a part of its mission of nation building, NCC Group Headquarters Jammu along with NCC cadets of Government MAM College and GCW Parade , Jammu organised a social drive at SMGS Hospital Jammu with an aim to create awareness on cancer and to support the sufferings patients.
In the function the officers and Cadets of Jammu Group reached out to children suffering from cancer at Pediatric Department of SMGS and distributed hampers.
Speaking on the occasion, Brig Vikram Raina, Group Commander emphasised on creating awareness on cancer amongst the youth and the importance of social support to the patients especially, the ones from poor background. He said NCC as an organisation is deeply committed to nation building and the cadets and staff are always at the forefront in undertaking social service, community development and civic action programmes.
The other officials present on the occasion were Col. Surjeet Sing, Col. Jaitender Dahiya, Col. Sanjay Apte, Dr Karan Singh , Dr G S Saini, Dr Sanjeev Digra and Prof Shiv Kumar.
