JAMMU, Sept 13: National Cricket Club (NCC) and Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) registered resounding victories over their rivals in the ongoing “State Cricket Academy (SCA) T20 Championship”, being played at MA Stadium, here.
In today’s matches, SSP Security Ashok Sharma was the chief guest whereas SP Security KS Jasrotia, Former Ranji trophy Player Rakesh Chopra and Director KC Sports Club, Arjun Choudhary were the guests of honour.
Earlier, in the first match, NCC defeated Khalsa Club by 27 runs.
Batting first, NCC scored 139 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 18 overs. Aditya Partap Singh (52) was the top scorer, while Manish Dogra (33) and Ankush (14) were the other contributors. Manu took 5 wickets while Harinder and Naresh claimed 1 wicket each.
Khalsa Club, in reply made 112 runs in 18 overs for the loss of 9 wickets, thus lost the match by 27 runs. Robin and Abhishek made 26 and 22 runs resepctively. Sahil took 3 wickets, Vijay, Ankush and Ritik bagged 2 wickets each. Aditya Partap Singh was adjudged as the man of the match with cash prize of Rs 500.
In second match, JCC defeated Samba Club by 9 wickets.
Batting first, Samba scored 87 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 16 overs, with Shubam (23), Arun (13) and Vishal (11) being the main scorers.
From JCC, Gurupartap took 2 wickets, while Rohit, Vishwajeet, Yudhveer and Deepak claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, JCC chased the target in 14.2 without losing any wicket, thus won the match by 10 wickets. Surya top scored with 47 runs, while Vivrant contributed 36 runs to the total. Surya was declared as the man of the match and was presented a cash prize of Rs 500.
