JAMMU, June 5: National Cricket Club (NCC) and Shastri Cricket Club registered emphatic wins over their rivals in the ongoing Simula T20 Super League, being played at Science College Hostel Ground, here.
The Super Cricket league in which ten premier teams namely JCC, NCC, Simula, Shastri, RCC Srinagar, J&K Sports Promoters Club, KCCC, KC Sports Club, Singh Club and Luxmi CC are participating is being organized by Simula Global Group of Companies and Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) and supported by JK Channel.
The organizing committee headed by Hilal Rather, MD Simula Group, while the committee members include Desh Rattan Dubey, Joint Secretary JKCA, Rajesh Dhar, Chairman Media Committee JKCA, Anshuman Sharma, Mohit Puri, Atul, Vivek Thapa, Vikram Singh, Shashi, Beant Singh and Vishal whereas Rajesh Gill, former Ranji Trophy Player is the Coordinator.
In the first match, NCC defeated RCC Srinagar by 6 wickets.
Batting first, RCC scored 113 runs in 20 overs , with Nipun Verma (26), Puneet Wattal (18) and Sachin Sharma (13) being the main scorers.
From bowling side, Rakesh took 4 wickets, Sahil and Pranav bagged 2 wickets each and Ankush claimed 1 wicket.
NCC, in reply achieved the target in 16.3 overs for the loss of 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Sahil and Amrit made 36 runs each.
From bowling side Sachin took 2 wickets, while Harman Singh and Praful Dhar shared 1 wicket each. Sahil Bhalwal was adjudged as the man of the match and awarded with Rs.1000.
In the second match, Shastri Cricket Club defeated KC Sports Club via super over.
Batting first, KC Sports Club scored 150 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs, Abhishant (63) , Ateev (57) and Arjun (12) being the main scorers. From Bowling Side, Vishal took 3 wickets, while Sawan claimed 1 wicket.
Shastri Club, in reply equalized the total in last ball of the game, with Sawan 72 runs and Aryan 29 runs being the main scorers. From bowling side, Arjun took 3 wickets, Vishal bagged 2 wickets while Abhishant and Rahul shared 1 wicket each .
Later on, in the super over Shastri Club defeated KC Sports Club.
Sawan was adjudged as man of the match and awarded with Rs 1000.
The matches was officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Madan Mohan, Sandeep and Vinod Kandayara.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Simula Sports Club will meet Singh Club Akhnoor at 8.30 am, RCC Srinagar will take on J&K Sports Promoters Club at 12.00 and JCC will face Shastri Cricket Club at 3.00 pm.
