JAMMU, June 30: National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) State president Rajesh Gupta today said that his party always stands for the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A.
Welcomed the statement of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in which he said that Article 370 of the Constitution is “temporary” in nature and “not permanent”, Gupta said NDPI has always maintained that and stands for the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A. He said that the party believes the provision is an impediment to the development of J&K.
NDPI chief exhorted people to rise above political affiliations and contribute towards bringing harmony in the society, as attempts of polarization by anti-national and communal parties like NC, PDP and Congress would only lead the nation and the State of Jammu and Kashmir to biggest catastrophe.
Rajesh Gupta said only courage with vision is required from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It’s a golden opportunity for him and he should take this step in interest of the nation and most importantly for the Kashmiri people.
