SRINAGAR, July 9: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh has said that the Government has already put in place a mechanism for ensuring hassle free Amarnathji Yatra and in this regard the necessary instructions have been passed down the line.
The Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with Yatris, officers of administration during his visit to the Holy Cave at Amarnathji to take on spot inspection of the arrangements in place and also get the requisite feedback about the arrangements being put in place after paying obeisance at the holy cave.
He was accompanied by Member Rajya Sabha, Avinash Rai Khanna.
The Deputy Chief Minister also went round the base camp hospital and interacted with the doctors and staff there. He said that the Government has already provided the requisite medicines, portable oxygen cylinders/oxygen masks so that the Yatris coming to perform their religious duties do not face any inconvenience viz-a-viz medicare and other related facilities.
Dr. Singh also inspected the security arrangements being put in place to thwart any untoward incident and said that the Government has put in place a foolproof mechanism for conducting smooth yatra. He said that the various wings of the para military forces and the local police should work in close coordination for the smooth conduct of the annual yatra as they have been doing since long.
Deputy Chief Minister also directed the PDD authorities to ensure adequate supply of power to the camps/langars so that the yatries do not face any inconvenience. He also asked the officers to ensure adequate supply of potable water to the langars / camps.
Dr. Singh also interacted with the langar / bhandara management and assured them that the Government has already passed the requisite instructions administration to provide every possible help and logistic support to them.
The Deputy Chief Minister also directed the concerned officers to take the requisite repairs of the track enroute the holy cave so that the yatries do not face any inconvenience.
