Royal Mega Star lifts finale trophy

JAMMU, Dec 24: Royal Mega Star lifted finale trophy of Royal Women Cricket Tournament Season-2 by defeating Pink Panthers with three wickets, being played at Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar, here today.
The final match was played between the Royal Mega Star and the Pink Panthers which was a thrilling contest. Royal Mega Star won the toss and decided to field first. Royal Mega Star chased the target and won the final match by three wickets.
The tournament was organized by the Royal Women Cricket Club under the supervision of president of the Club, Veena Sharma, treasurer Anita Gupta, Shambhu Nath Sharma and Dr Rupali Salathia.
SP Ramban Rajni Sharma was the chief guest while Tarun Uppal chairperson Nirbhay Bharat Foundation was the guest of honour and Sohail Kazmi (senior journalist) presided over the function, whereas Rajan Gupta, Naveen Koul and Gulshan Ratan were the special guests.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest asked the youth to involve themselves in different sports activities as it would help to channelize their talent in right direction.
During the tournament, a total four matches were played. Satika Sharma, Meenu Salathia, Surekha Singh, Ankita Jalla, Naina Kashyap and Ashima Pathania played a vital role to organise this tournament.
