JAMMU, Sept 11: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Neena Gupta of Ward 50 (Channi Himmat) along with Ishant Gupta, IT Head of BJP J&K here today inaugurated green strip work and overall development work at a Park in Sector 6, Channi Himmat.
The project will be completed with an estimated expenditure of Rs. 24 lakh.
Developmental works in the Park was a long pending demand of the public and the Park had remained deserted since long.
Speaking on the occasion Neena Gupta said that revamped Park will include greenery, walkways, recreational facilities and seating arrangement.
She also said that a tube well to address water needs of the public will also be inaugurated soon under Amrit-2 project.
Ishant Gupta said that Sector 6 Park project is expected to be completed in coming months offering a revitalized and vibrant space for the public to enjoy.
Lieutenant General Rakesh Kumar Sharma said that development works in the Park was a long pending demand of the area and Park’s transformation is a testament to Neena’s commitment to address needs of the public.
Kamlesh Magotra, BJP MM Trikuta Nagar Mandal President; Trishula Gupta, Social Worker; Susheela Gupta, Ashok Gupta, Social Worker, Ashok Khajuria, S.K Gupta, Rajan Gupta, Babu, Rajinder Motial and others were also present on the occasion.
