JAMMU, Nov 14: The Secretary to State Housing and Urban Development Department, Satish Nehru and Municipal Commissioner, Kiran Wattal here today visited the site of dwelling units being constructed under BSUP scheme at Sunjwan and reviewed the progress of the work.
The Secretary inspected the 64 dwelling units which have been completed and reviewed the progress of 221 dwelling units under construction, which are to be completed in March, 2014.
Nehru also instructed the Engineering Wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation to speed up the work and ensure that time line for the project is implemented. He also asked for development of allied infrastructure like approach roads to the Complex, greenery of surroundings areas etc.
The process of identification of eligible beneficiaries for allotment of units was also asked to be initiated immediately.
The team of officers accompanying the Secretary were Joint Commissioner (W), Executive Engineers, AEE concerned and others members of Engineering Wing.
