JAMMU, Aug 4: Major General Kulpreet Singh, Patron, Chenab Army Pre-Primary School (CAPPS), Akhnoor and Naveeta K Singh, Chairperson, FWO inaugurated the new building of CAPPS-III located in Karnail Singh Vihar in Akhnoor Garrison, today.
The School is run under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES).
Maj Gen, in his inaugural address, highlighted the important role being played by Pre Primary Schools in empowering Army children, especially those of JCOs and other ranks.
On the occasion, the chief guest interacted with students and teachers.
CAPPS-III, Akhnoor came into existence in the year 1980 and was functioning from an adhoc building.
The new building has six well established classrooms with thematic pictorial stories.
The classrooms provide a lively environment with colourful furniture and paintings.
The building also has an activity room for extra-curricular activities to provide conducive educational environment.
