JAMMU, Oct 7: In the sole match played today between New Challenger and Star Cricket Club (SCC) in the ongoing T-20 Cricket Tournament at KC Sports Club, SCC beat New Challenger by a huge margin of 97 runs.
Batting first after winning the toss, New Challenger set a target of 167 runs for SCC. The New Challenger scored 166 runs in 20 overs. Top scorer of the innings was Ram Dayal who scored 61 runs in 38 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes.
In reply, the whole team of SCC was bowled out on just 70 runs and thus New Challenger won the match by 96 runs.
Ram Dayal was adjudged as man of the match for his spectacular performance with bat. For Star Cricket Club, Abhi was pick of the bowler who scalped 3 wickets in his four overs by giving 19 runs while from New Challenger Sumeet, Parveen and Deepak took 2 wickets each.
Sanjay and Arvind were umpires of the matches while Vishal Koul was scorer.
The tournament is being sponsored by Jodhpur National University and KC Sports Club.
