JAMMU, Oct 31: Outplaying Patoli Badshas by a big margin of 57 runs in the summit clash, New Challengers Cricket Club lifted the title trophy of the T-20 Cricket Tournament, sponsored by Jodhpur National University and KC Sports Club at K C Sports Club ground, here today.
Winning the toss and batting first, New Challengers scored a modest total of 128 runs in 20 overs. Ashu was the top scorer with 29 runs. For Patoli Badshas, Kavit took 2 wickets.
In reply, Patoli Badshas managed to score 71 runs in 13 overs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 57 runs. Vineet Raina played a brilliant innings of quick-fire 43 runs off just 16 balls, with the help of 8 fours and one six. For New Challengers, Deepak Singh Manhas was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 5 important wickets. He was adjudged man of the match, while Ramdayal was declared man of the series.
The match was officiated by Sanjay and Naveen as umpires, while Vikas was the scorer.
