New Dream Land School celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Feb 3: The students of New Dream Land Public High School, Sector-5, Nanak Nagar, Jammu exhibited their skills in annual day function at Government Women College Auditorium, Gandhi Nagar, here today.
The function with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Ganesh Vandana.
H R Pakhroo, Joint Director Trainings and Principal SIE Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while eminent educationist and State Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides and Prof Parveen Singh, HoD Computer Science, Commerce College, Jammu were the guests of honour. Chairman of the School, Rajinder Singh presided over the function.
Earlier, in his welcome address, School chairman highlighted the achievements of the School in Academics and allied things.
The students presented various cultural items which covered different cultures and dances of India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari .
The main attractions of the programme were Ganesh Vandana and cultural items including Gidda, Kashmiri, Dogri and Rajasthani dances, besides fancy dress show and patriotic song based on Kargil war.
Merit certificates and trophies were distributed among the meritorious students. Awards of honour and teaching excellence awards were also presented to teachers for their outstanding contribution.
The chief guest in his address lauded the academic and co-curricular performance of the students and exhorted them to work hard for building the nation.
The function concluded with the vote of thanks presented by M S Choudhary, Trustee of the School.
The function was held under the overall supervision of School Principal, Champa Choudhary.
