New Star Cricket Club to lock horns with Oriental Cricket Club in summit clash

JAMMU, Oct 9: New Star Cricket Club (NSCC) will lock horns with Oriental Cricket Club (OCC) in the summit clash of the ongoing 1st Coloured KP T-20 Cricket Cup, being played at KC School ground, here.
In the first semis, NSCC crushed Royal Cricket Club by a huge margin of 97 runs and registered berth in the final.
Batting first after winning the toss, NSCC scored 172 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Munna played a splendid inning of 59 runs off 32 balls including six lofty sixes and two balls towards the fence, while Vishal chipped in 27 runs with the help of 3 boundaries and one six. Rocky made 24 runs in 15 balls with the help of 3 boundaries and one six.
From RCC side, Ravi Bindroo and Harish scalped 2 wickets each by conceding 18 and 20 runs respectively in their 4 overs spell, while Sanjay took one wicket by giving 29 runs in 3 overs.
In reply, RCC failed to chase the target and bundled out at paltry 75 runs by losing all wickets. Guglu was the top scorer with 19 runs, while Vishu made 11 runs.
From NSCC side, Sahil was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 4 wickets by giving 17 runs in 3.4 overs, while Sushil took 3 wickets by conceding 31 runs in 4 overs and Rocky clinched 2 wickets by giving only 4 runs in 2 overs.
Rocky was adjudged as Man of the Match.
In the second semifinal, OCC registered win over Jhelum Cricket Club (JCC) by 8 wickets and sailed into final.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, JCC made 93 runs by losing all the wickets in 19.2 overs. Ajay was the highest scorer with 32 runs with the help of 4 boundaries and one six, while Sunil Bhat and Miskeen made 11 runs each.
From OCC side, Manoj, Rohan, Vimarsh Kaw and Praful scalped 2 wickets each.
In the second inning, half century by Vimarsh Kaw with the help of 6 boundaries and one six helped OCC to chase the target in 16.2 overs by losing 3 wickets. Chander and Rohan made 16 and 14 runs respectively.
From JCC side, Arvind Bakshi scalped 2 wickets by giving 26 runs in his 4 overs spell.
Vimarsh Kaw of OCC was declared as Man of the Match for his all performance.
The matches were officiated by Vikas, Sanjog Koul, Sheru and Verma as umpires, while King Ji maintained the scorecard.
