DODA, May 26: New Star Cricket Club Doda and Young Cricket Club Ghat register resounding wins over their rivals in the matches of the ongoing All India 10th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2014 being played at Sports Stadium Doda, here today.
The tournament was organized by Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) Doda and sponsored by J&K Bank, Bajaj Allianz and Rashtriya Rifles Rajput Unit Doda.
In the first match of the day, New Star Cricket Club Doda outplayed Green Mountain Bhalassa by 6 wickets.
Batting first, after winning the toss New Star Cricket Club Doda made Only 157 runs with the loss of 8 wickets in stipulated 20 overs.
Mehran and Usman made 39 runs each. For Green Mountain Club Bhalessa , Wasim and Ashiq shared 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
In reply, Green Mountain Club Bhalessa could not chased the target Mange 100 Runs in Only 14.5 overs with the loss of 10 wickets,New Star Cricket Club Doda won by 57 Runs . Green Mountain Club Bhalessa Wasim made 24 runs while Abid contributed 11 runs to the total. For ,New Star Cricket Club Doda Sadaam and Ikhlaq take 5 & 2 wicket each.
Saddam New Star Club Doda was declared as Man of the Match for his best bowling performance.
In another match played on Monday, Young Cricket Club Ghat defeated Combine Cricket Club Madhya Pradesh . Batting first, Young Cricket Club Ghat made 167 runs by losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Amandeep scored 44 runs while Rahul added 26 runs. For Combine Cricket Club Madhya Pradesh , Prashant & Ravinder took 2&2 wickets each.
In reply,Combine Cricket Club Madhya Pradesh made 121 runs in 20 overs. In loss of 8 wickets.Youn Cricket Club won the match by 46 runs. Combine Cricket Club Madhya Pradesh Prashant was the top scorer with 51 runs followed by Dharmendra who added 20 runs.For Young Star Cricket Club Ghat , Sajad & Riyaz took 3 & 2 wicket each.
Amandeep Singh of Young Star Cricket Club Ghat was declared as Man of the Match for best batting performance..
