JAMMU, Oct 16: J&K Non-Gazetted Accounts Employees Association has urged upon the Finance Minister to address the pending demands of the Accounts employees.
In a meeting of the Association held here today under the chairmanship of Kulwant Singh, the members discussed pending issues of the employees. They sought personal intervention of Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu into the matter.
The main demanded included declaration of professional service, withdrawal of clarification of SRO 160 dated 10-5-2006; fully implementation of SRO 272; up-gradation of the posts of Accounts Assistants and Accountants as Accountants and Senior Accountants; conduct of DPC; holding fresh recruitment; raise welfare fund etc.
Trade unionists, K S Khalsa, Prem Nath, Ram Paul, Anil Sharma, Hanief Choudhary and others were also present.
