JAMMU, Nov 8: Scintillating performances by the Class IV employees of Jammu University enthralled General Zorawar Singh Auditorium as Non-Gazetted Employees Union, JU, today celebrated its Annual Day.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar was as the chief-guest on the occasion while First Lady of the Campus Lida Singh Ishar and Prof Manoj Dhar, Registrar, JU, were the guests of honour.
The VC, in his address, asked the Non-Gazetted employees of the university to work with a sense of devotion and commitment in their respective fields. He said that the long-pending demands of the Non-Gazetted Employees Union have been met with the blessings of the Governor and Chancellor of the university N N Vohra. He also assured them that the university will take all necessary steps to redress their genuine grievances.
Speaking on the occasion, president NGEU, Krishan Chand expressed gratitude on behalf of the Association and all its members to the Vice Chancellor for accepting their demands. Expressing hope that the Association would continue to get support of the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor, he assured that the employees on their part will leave no stone unturned to meet their expectations from them. He said that the non-teaching staff has been working with zeal and devotion and will continue to do so in future as well.
On the occasion, Lida Singh Ishar gave away mementos to the participants.
