NHM workers stage protest, demand revocation of termination order

JAMMU, Apr 9: The NHM health workers staged protest here today demanding revocation of their termination order.
Amid slogans, a large number of terminated NHM workers from different districts of Jammu and Kashmir led by President Mission Statehood Sunil Dimple assembled outside Government Medical College here and held protest.
While speaking, Sunil Dimple said that despite assurance from the Lt Government of permanent recruitment, the GMC Hospital administration has terminated a large number of NHM workers, which is not justified.
Dimple served 48 hours ultimatum to revoke the termination order of the health workers and warned to start indefinite protests, demonstrations and road blockades if the same is not done.
Extending his support, Dimple said that the demand of the NHM health workers is genuine and should be redressed as soon as possible.
He urged the Lt Government and Chief Secretary to hold talks with these health workers, who rendered their services during the Coronavirus pandemic.
The prominent health workers present during the protest were Rita Khajuria, Sunita Devi, Anjali, Mahi, Sushma, Mahvesh, Manmet, Anil Sharma, Ajaz, Sahil Sharma, Shubam Kumar, Nitin Sharma and many others.
