GURUGRAM, Feb 19: The 23rd Inter CPSU T-20 Cricket tournament hosted by NHPC under the aegis of Power Sports Control Board (PSCB) at Gurugram here today.
Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC inaugurated the tournament in the presence of senior officials from NHPC and participating organizations. In his address, Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC said that the 23rd Inter CPSU Cricket tournament is an ideal platform to bring together various Power Sector organizations in the spirit of healthy competition and team-spirit. He further said that this tournament is an excellent opportunity for a good work-life balance.
A total of 14 teams of CPSUs, Organizations under Ministry of Power, Government of India are participating in the tournament. A total of 46 league matches shall be played during the tournament. The semi-final matches of the tournament will be played on February 23 and the final match will be played on February 24, 2024.
The inaugural match of the tournament was played between NHPC and THDC, which was won by THDC. Eleven more matches were played in which THDC defeated NEEPCO, NHPC defeated BEE, DVC defeated CEA, NTPC defeated Grid Controller of India, Powergrid defeated PFC, SJVNL defeated REC, NEEPCO defeated BEE, Grid Controller of India won defeated CEA, NTPC defeated DVC, BBMB defeated SJVNL and Powergrid defeated Ministry of Power.
