JAMMU, Sept 1: Inter regional selection trials to frame NHPC Cricket team was inaugurated here today.
The trials were inaugurated by S Kalgaonkar, Executive Director, NHPC Regional Office, Jammu in presence of Director, Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, senior officers and employees from NHPC Limited.
On the occasion, RK Kedia, Chief HR, NHPC Limited welcomed all the players, who had reported across the Projects/Power Station of NHPC Limited and briefed about the event.
Speaking on the occasion, S Kalgaonkar advised the players to play with sportsmanship and said that the games give everybody a chance to understand each other irrespective of caste, colour and creed.
During the trials, all the outstanding players from all the regions of NHPC are participating and the selection of the players will be done by the professional coaches.
The teams selected during these trials will participate in the Inter CPSU Cricket Tournament. A total of 65 cricketers across NHPC participated in these trials.
