JAMMU, Oct 29: NHPC Regional Office Jammu organised NHPC Athletics tournament at Prem Nath Dogra Sports Ground Smailpur which was inaugurated by Rajan Kumar, Executive Director NHPC in presence of other dignitaries, here today.
Addressing the players on this occasion, Rajan Kumar said that through sports we can enhance our physical & mental abilities and also develop a better work culture in the organisation.
Employees from NHPC Power Stations/Projects located in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana and other places of the country participated in this tournament.
About 60 men as well as women employees are participating in 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 5000m, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, long jump, high jump and triple jump events.
The winners of these events will participate in the athletics tournament being organized by Power Sector Sports tournament.
