NHPC organises state level painting exhibition on energy conservation

JAMMU, Nov 9: A state level painting exhibition on energy conservation was organised by  NHPC Limited at Brig Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu.
The students holding first, second and third positions respectively in the competition were awarded Rs 10,000, 8000 and 5000 respectively. Besides, 10 students were awarded consolation prizes of Rs 1000 each at an impressive prize distribution function presided by Pardeep Gupta, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
The competition was organised on the directives of Ministry of Power Government of India. These painting competitions are part of the national level campaign launched by Ministry of Power for promoting energy conservation in the country which is need of the hour.
Speaking on the occasion Pardeep Gupta Divisional Commissioner said that this is the matter of pride that small school children along with their parents are part of the energy conservation campaign launched by Ministry of Power, Government of India & Bureau of Energy Efficiency, which will help a long way in power conservation in the country.
Fifty students selected at school level participated in the state level painting competition.
