JAMMU, Mar 18: NHPC conducted the second edition of ‘Gyanankan – The Business Quiz,’ aimed at encouraging employees to stay informed about the latest business trends, current affairs and global advancements. The quiz saw active participation from NHPC employees across the company’s regional offices, power stations, and units.
The semi-final and grand finale was held at NHPC’s Corporate Office in Faridabad. Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC, was the chief guest of the event. The finale featured thrilling rounds of quizzing, covering topics from the business world, corporate affairs, and general knowledge, keeping the audience engaged throughout.
The quiz concluded with the team from Sewa-II Power Station (J&K), comprising Abdul Hadi, Manager (Electrical) and Deepak, Deputy Manager (Mechanical), emerging as the winners. The first runners-up were Siddhi Vinayak, General Manager (Civil), Dhauliganga Power Station (Uttarakhand) and C Vinod, Senior Manager (Electrical), Sewa Power Station (J&K), while the second runners-up were T. Marconi Singh, Senior Manager (IT) and Ajay Acharya, Manager (Electrical) from Loktak Power Station (Manipur).
The quiz was conducted by renowned quizmasters SP S Jaggi, former Director (P&A), SCI and Deepak Taneja, AGM (CC), IOCL.
