JAMMU, Sept 13: The National Investigating Agency (NIA) has taken custody of separatist leader Shabir Shah from the jail through a court order and questioned him in connection with terror funding and hawala operations in Jammu and Kashmir.
Shabir Shah had been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate and after questioning lodged in the jail.
Sources said the NIA took Shah on remand and grilled him in connection with terror funding. His questioning could continue for one or two more days, they added.
Meanwhile, Kashmir High Court Bar Association president advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom has again been summoned by the NIA to its headquarters in New Delhi tomorrow in connection with terror funding in the State.
However, expressing serious reservations about summoning of Qayoom to the national capital, lawyers have decided to go on a strike tomorrow in the Kashmir Valley.
